To lay upon the grass
surrounded by blades of green
the fragrant flowers empower me
to lay engulfed by nature
the stream nearby sings
birds dance with the wind
trees sway to the outdoor melody
the wilted flower repairs itself
that soft broken melody of life
the sky hugs the ground in its infinite horizon
roots entwine into the earth as if they were
waiting to be shaken free
longing for the warmth of the sun to kiss upon its cheek
encircled by the comforting soil that nurtures every cell
the green life reaches towards the sun waiting for its love
waiting for another day to bask in its glory
together they make a symphony if you listen carefully
what a wonder it would be
to lay upon the grass
